World AIDS Day 2016
Hydeia Broadbent delivered a great speech for Beloit's 5th annual World AIDS Day event, which also featured free HIV tests. International spokesperson and survivor of HIV/AIDS, Hydeia Broadbent travels and speaks out about the importance of knowing your HIV status. Her goal is to inform and create dialog around HIV/AIDS in communities, and educational institutions in order prevent the spread of HIV but also to inspire those living with HIV/AIDS to not let their disease hold them back from life.
Beloit College Production of RENT
Beloit College's fall production was RENT, a rock opera about a group of artists living with HIV and AIDS in New York in the late 80's and early 90's. BPHI tabled and provided safer sex educational materials and condoms to audience members during intermission.
Community Gym Night
Local community kids and Beloit College students played recreational sports activities together during Community Gym Night.

Outstanding Group Award
BPHI was recognized as the most Outstanding Group at Beloit College during the Beloit Leadership Awards.
Condom Dispensers in Local Bars
BPHI distributed new condom dispensers to local bars. Look for condom dispensers and condom bowls at your favorite local bars in Beloit!
Pre-Prom Pizza Party
Local high schoolers attended a Pre-Prom Pizza Party with sexual health trivia and prizes at Tilley's in Beloit hosted by BPHI.
Teen Parent Resource Fair
BPHI participated in a Teen Parent Resource Fair at the Beloit Public Library. We distributed informational brochures and resources to attendees.
Attended Black Family Day
Black Family Day was held in October at Wesley Christian Methodist Church in Beloit. BPHI was invited to attend and hand out informational brochures.
World AIDS Day
BPHI hosted its 2nd Annual World AIDS Day event. We collaborated with several other community organizations to provide a variety of health resources to attendees. At the event, there was food, prizes, and an interactive art project. Rock County residents joined us to learn about the continuing impact of HIV/AIDS in the community. Antoine Maxwell, an activist and educator from the Black AIDS Network in Chicago, joined us as our keynote speaker.
Healthy Choices Fair!
In March, BPHI held a Healthy Choices fair at the Beloit Public Library. We provided age-appropriate activities and crafts for kids and young adults.
Blackhawk Tech Health Fair
In April, BPHI attended the Blackhawk Technical College health fair. We distributed brochures, pens, and condoms to visitors.
